Wounded No More by Bishop David

Prioritize your life right:
-
GOD
-
Family
-
Work
When work is placed above your family,
your family will suffer.
No matter how “good” the
intentions, the result will be the same.
There will be problems. Many marriages
have been destroyed
because the husband (or wife) were not
attentive and let their
work overshadow the family and GOD. Sometimes, one may think
being a good parent is all that is required
to keep a family together,
but the truth is, if one is not
properly attentive or sensitive to their
spouse’s needs (emotional, physical),
the relationship will suffer.
What to do:
1st pray. Go to the LORD and
ask Him about your situation. He will reveal
far more to you and can direct your steps.

3rd A prominent Christian
minister recently said that he calls his wife,
“his girl.” Some of his church members thought that he had a girlfriend
on the side and he had to explain that
he and his wife keep their relationship
fresh and fun. They go out on “dates”
to the movies, ice cream parlor,
dinner... whatever. He said that it was
important to keep marriage just as
fun and loving
as the courtship. Focusing on friendship and intimacy with
our mate
is key. If not, this is when "the joy" becomes
“the old ball and chain.”
Spend quality time together without the kids.
